At Foresight, we aim to live up to our name - that means spotting opportunities, being flexible and innovative, adopting a clear and transparent approach and applying the expertise of our people.

Our mission is to develop and execute compelling investment strategies for the long-term. We aim to invest in a manner that supports sustainable economic and social development and that creates a sustainable legacy for future generations.

We currently manage more than 270 renewable generation assets globally, with a total generating capacity of 2.7GW. In Solar, we have an operational portfolio of over 160 solar plants generating more than 1.5GW.

We started investing in the Australian solar market in 2017, with the acquisition of the 25MW Barcaldine solar project in Queensland. This was shortly followed by the 110MW Bannerton solar project in Victoria, which powers the Melbourne tram network with clean energy.  Subsequently, we acquired three further solar projects totalling 117MW which are located in Queensland.

Complementing our activities in solar, we are an active investor in onshore wind and bioenergy across Europe, battery storage and reserve power in the UK. Our investment strategies are underpinned by a strong Environmental, Social & Governance (“ESG”) focus, which is of increasing importance to investors. Our assets generate enough clean energy with the potential to power the equivalent of over one million UK homes and our bioenergy plants divert over 1 million tonnes of waste from landfill and process over 1.8 million tonnes of waste every year.

We aim to continue to offer investors attractive and sustainable risk-adjusted returns while having a positive impact on society’s environmental footprint.

Our ESG Efforts in Australia

Environmental, Social & Governance ("ESG") considerations inform and shape all stages of our investment processes and operations. This ensures stable and long-term growth; meeting the demands of today’s investors and ensures we are consistently working towards a smarter future.  

Melbourne Tram Network

The Bannerton project was successful in the tender to provide clean power to the Melbourne Tram network, supporting Victoria State’s target of 40% renewable energy by 2025. 

Educational Visits

A large part of generating public support and interest in solar power and its benefits comes as a result of educational initiatives. Bannerton Solar Farm provides local students from Robinvale College with the opportunity to visit a solar farm and to learn more about solar power. 

Bannerton Solar Park Grant

In March 2018, the Bannerton Solar Park Grant scheme was launched. This provided grants of up to $5,000 to local community groups. The groups which were awarded grants were: Rotary Club of Robinvale – Euston; St Vincent de Paul Society – Robinvale; Murray Valley Aboriginal Co-operative – Robinvale College; Mallee Almond Blossom Festival – Englefield; V8 Car Trek team – Robinvale; Storm Rugby Club – Robinvale; Euston Netball Club and Robinvale Rowing Club and Youth Association.
